It is hard to write a million articles, how to, guides, and still tend to clients. Sometimes the inspiration wheel is dry. So before a big event or job, I lay in bed and browse Pinterest. No surprise there, every woman does. However, I browse for specific thing and those things give me inspiration. Here are my tips for getting great inspiration from Pinterest.

It seems only logical that I browse other make up artists or beauty brands. I do but my real source of inspiration is floral arrangements and table settings. I look at colors, compositions and lighting. I usually do this on Friday nights before working a major beauty event of a beauty trial.

For Home Decor:
Yes, I browse all home decor pins. In fact, I am obsessed but for home ideas, I leave the US. Right now, I am obsessed with Parisian apartments, old manors and anything vintage. No, my home is far from glamorous but I like adding accents here and there that make it feel that way, to me at least. Travel destinations are also a huge hit for me. Who doesn’t want to live where they vacation and who’s bathroom shouldn’t feel like a beach in Greece?

For Getting Dressed:
I actually follow a few bloggers but really I go back to my roots and browse magazine covers and editorials. It really is that simple. I started dressing real women based on ideas I had from mood boards and shoots I had worked on. So basically, that is how I dress myself…with the bonus of comfort and practicality of course.
