Fall is my favorite season and quite possibly the only season that makes me regret my three-item shopping rule. I’ve been doing a pretty good job, in fact, I spent nothing the first a few months in, making my first purchase for the spring and only two in the summer. So my warm weather wardrobe consists of stud earrings (not published), a romper (also not published-seeing a bad trend), a shirt, two swimsuits, and some sandals. I really wanted to spend more this season but summer purchases were more of a necessity than anything else and with the holidays around the corner, well I really only could buy three items. I decided to buy pieces that would work together, as well as with everything else this season.
Faux Leather Leggings
Although this wasn’t on my original list, navy dress slacks were,I’ve resigned myself to comfort this season. I saw the leggings when I ran to Target to get boots for my daughter and didn’t think twice about putting them in the cart. I knew I would wear them six ways to Sunday, something I want in my wardrobe.
Same trip to get my daughter boots, I saw these. They are listed as brown but truly are more of a brick color and the perfect way to break up my usually neutral wardrobe without being too loud.
Cut Out Sweater
A few years ago, while pregnant with my oldest son, I saw a cut out a sweater that I absolutely loved but I wasn’t crazy about spending over $100 for a basic cotton blend. The following fall, I still couldn’t stop thinking about the sweater and found it again. My husband insisted I get it or I’ll regret it. I still couldn’t stop turning my nose up at the price. One quick run to get diapers at Target and bam, similar sweater, same fabric, 1/4 of the price. No regrets.
*This was not a post sponsored by Target, all items were found and purchased by total chance. Also, maybe a hint that I spend wayyyy too much time at Target.
