One of the biggest reasons I decided to start a blog was flexibility. After working on set for over 12 hours as a wardrobe stylist with a newborn at home, I quickly realized that things may never be the same and so I set off to try and find a new career path that would allow me to be home with my daughter more. The blog happened my chance after trying a few things. However, now with three kids, work, and the blog, I’m not as flexible as I thought I would be. So a few weekends ago, I finished up my work around 3:30 pm on a Thursday and disconnected until Tuesday at 9 am. It was glorious. And so for the holidays, I’ve decided to take a much-needed break much to the excitement of my oldest who already has a whole list of things we should do. 2016 started out great with the birth of our youngest and then quickly turned sour after my father’s passing. I think I speak for a lot of us when I say, we need a break. We all need a break. So from here until January 8, I think I’ll disconnect a bit and try living in IRL except of course for Instagram and Pinterest over coffee…or Champagne because YOLO. Do people still say that? Anyway, be sure to visit me there. Happy Holidays everyone, and here’s to a new and better year.
