Abuse comes in many forms. Some walk around with evidence of abuse, as others walk around with invisible scars as a result verbal mistreatment. 1 in 4 women are physically hurt by their intimate partners and 4 in 10 emotionally. Even one is one too many. That is why I am so proud that local entrepreneur and holistic beauty mama, Jessica Mann of Ari Rose Bodycare, has created the “Breakfast Bar” to help women who are victims of domestic abuse.
Inspired by comments made during a beauty segment on Windy City Live which featured Ari Rose, co-host Val Warner mentioned that the bar smelled like Cinnamon Toast Crunch. The “Breakfast Bar” is in fact made with all organic cinnamon, oatmeal, coconut milk, raw honey and topped with an organic cinnamon crunch cereal.
Ari Rose Bodycare is donating proceeds of the sales to Connections for Abused Women and their Children (CAWC). But there is more, for those of us familiar with the healing aspect of self-care, you can also opt to have your bar donated to the CAWC shelter which houses women and their children.
