As an industry veteran, I’ve tried so many products. Some I’ve loved and others I’ve loathed. But it is those that I’ve loved that has made it hard for me to change the way I treat my skin. However, after going cleaner in my eating and in my lifestyle, it was natural that I would eventually start going natural in my beauty routine as well. Here are just some of the products that have made it onto my desk that I’ve used and have also made their way into my beauty routine.
If I ever wash my face with anything else again, it must be because it was made by heavenly hands themselves, otherwise, I’m good. I’ve been able to skip on a makeup remover with this cleanser, makeup, dirt, and impurities all melt right off without ever leaving my skin to feel dry or stripped.
I’ve always hated toners, not only because I wasn’t a fan of the extra step but because my skin always felt dry after. So I eliminate toning altogether. However, I do love this water essence as it helps my serum and moisturizer work so much better to hydrate my skin. The simplest way to describe it? If you want to clean up a spill, a damp sponge absorbs so much more than a dry one. This product helps you be the damp sponge. You’re welcome.
When I was younger, the Crystal Deodorant was the first I used. I didn’t like having to wet the crystal and in some cases, scratching myself so imagine my surprise when I saw not only the roll on version but scents like Lavender and White Tea and Pomegranate. So far, this one allows me to perspire (it is a deodorant, not an antiperspirant) but I’m odorless. Winning. Let’s see how it works out come summer.
The one thing I hate the most about my nail care routine is the fumes. From the polish to the removers and if you are in a salon, all the other chemicals, that one hour of pampering just gives me a headache. So I rarely paint my nails, salon or otherwise. However, since discovering this nail polish remover
You can slather on as much face creams and treatments but how well do they penetrate past dead skin? Not very well. However, harsh exfoliators tend to break out my skin and do more harm than good. However, this gentle formulation uses eco-friendly bamboo and jojoba beads doing a whole of good for your skin and the environment.
Over 30? A serum is your (and by your, I mean mine) best friend. A serum goes down deeper than any facial cream to treat the skin from within and help protect it from environmental damage while smoothing skin texture and eliminating those pesky lines. I can neither confirm nor deny that I had them but I can say this stuff is made of dreams.
I have been a face oil snob all winter but I was hesitant to try one in the spring thinking about how easy I can go from hydrated to greasy. Surprisingly, not so easily. Sure, my skin glistens and glows but who doesn’t want that. In fact, this oil sinks right into the skin while smoothing out my complexion and smoothing the appearance of fine lines.
