yanira’s curly hair
When it come to curly hair, let’s just say it has a mind of it’s own. Having curly hair myself I know each day my curls will be different and humidity or not I am always fighting frizz. I have found that avoiding products that contain “SD alcohol” really help my hair from getting dried out. Instead I look for products that are hydrating like argan oil, jojoba, or shea butter.
Depending on your hair type you can use a product like OYIN handmade ‘Boing‘ to control your curls. Use a little ‘Boing’ after you shampoo/condition and set your hair in braids, twists or even a roller set. Let your hair completely dry and gently separate the curls to create frizz free curls that has hold but still pliable. You can also use OYIN handmade Burnt Sugar Pomade to seal the flyaways and create separation in your curls, a little goes along way!
If you are more of a wash and go person I have found that products like Kimble Beauty Bounce Back Curl Cream and Kimble Beauty Bounce Back Curl Revitalizer are awesome to run through your hair and air dry or use a diffuser. Kimble Beauty Curl Cream is amazing for dense coarse curls, leaving your curls defined yet soft. When first using a product always start off using less and adding more in as you go. You want enough product to control your curls without weighing them down.
Another great product I like to use especially on set is Kimble Beauty’s Liquid Curl Enhancer. Not only is this a great product on wet hair but I like using it on dry hair to freshen up curls. Just a few spritz and it will breath your curls new life. Great for people that go a few days in between shampoos.
Having curly can be a challenge some days. But curly hair is beautiful. You just have to try a few products to see what works best for your hair texture. Everyone’s curls are different so what might work for fine loose curls may not be the same for thick tight curls. I do know that the styling aids I like to use are moisturizing and easy to use and best of all they smell divine!
